Background
Christina has been a Mental Health Therapist since 1995. She completed her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bradley University. Since then she has had extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families at Youth Farm Inc., Children's Home Association of Illinois, and Illinois Department of Children and Family Services where she provided counseling services and clinical supervision in residential and outpatient setting. Christina specializes in grief and loss, trauma, anxiety and depression, substance use, aggression and delinquency, physical and sexual abuse, ADHD, eating disorders, and self-harm.

Approach to Therapy
Christina has been in private practice at Balanced since 2014 and has been in practice more than 22 years providing counseling to individuals, couples and families. Christina facilitates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems Therapy and Evidenced Based Treatment Modalities. She partners with patients and families in their journey to getting better, happier and balanced. She assists individuals, couples and families to develop and practice the skills necessary to independently and confidently cope with and prevail over crisis, trauma, and issues encountered throughout life. Christina is focused on creating an environment in which patients feel comfortable, safe, and respected in the counseling setting with the goal of helping all individuals achieve emotional wellness.

Christina has been happily married for over 22 years and is the mother of 4 children. She enjoys cheering on her children at various sporting events, scouting activities and fine arts events. She enjoys traveling with her family and reading in her downtime.
